Squid games, two Tuesdays ago – a totally new level of Squidination. In fact, it might be possible that it was these games that gave rise to this new term. Say it with me: Squidination.

Pre-game highlights include Angie Mangie-bo-bangie [MANNY FRESH] taming the treacherous Lyon’s Park field in her return to the site of both hers and The Squids darkest hour all those [one] years ago. We also saw some ol’ friends from Forest Park. Boy, St. Louis Softball sure is a small family! Eeegah! [Pancake Master's note: We had played this team the week before, but DONRUSS was not there to experience it.]

Getting to the action – let’s first start with the play of the day, that being Big Muddy Bill Muhalski [KRUKKER] gunning out a depressed and distressed base runner at first, from deep, deep left field. That’s a 7-3 PO, if you’re scoring at home, and I know you are. Other highlights included some sweet hustle from Taylor [T-BAG] and Colleen [SCHRAPPEN] on the base paths and in the outfield. Timely hitting came from Pancakesy [PANCAKE MASTER] and Sub-a-Dub [SUB A DUB]. And if I recall correctly, didn’t Switchblade [SWITCHBLADE] pitch the 48th perfect game in Squid history? I think he did. Other than those, the only thing that sticks out in my mind is total…
