I believe the Squidfall 2008 rosters are close enough to finalized that I can say here: they’re finalized.

We have something like 12 new Squids starting in the fall. For this reason, I am making a new Squidmix. If you want yer Squidsong changed from yer summer track, let me know. If you’re a new Squid and haven’t let me know yer song yet, lemme know that.

Y’all should come to Tower Grove this Saturday around 10AM (or thereafter) for the big end-of-season bash/tournament/whatever. Squids aren’t playing in it (we already got our “Best Team Of All-Time” Trophy, they thought it was a little ridiculous to have us play the tournament after that), but it should be a good time with barbecue and beer and I think a handful o’ Squids’ll be there, including (but not limited to) SQUIDBONG! Next week on Tuesday we’ll be playing the Way Out Club, stay tuned to the Squidcalendar for time and place on that one.

I have also updated the Squidcalendar (on the right side of this page, for those just arriving for the first time) to indicate when we’ll be practicing in the coming weeks. 08/31 (Sunday), 09/06, and 09/13 (both Saturdays) at noon. See the Team Resources page for a map of/to Heman Park, where practices occur. I wanna see Squids a-plenty at these practices! Especially the one on 08/31, the big pre-season practice. We’ll party afterwards at Mi Ranchito as usual.

Also, how ’bout that team last night? I kinda can’t get over that. For those not present, for the first time in the history of planet earth, the other team requested we turn down/off the Squidbox. How could a team expect to handle the domination of the Squids if they can’t even handle the awesomeness of the Squidbox? There’s a word for that:

WEAK.
