Man, the All-Star game is stupid.  Like I even cared who won.  I did drop more f-bombs than usual last night, though, and loudly so.

Let’s get some preliminary numbers on what Squidplans are for this fall–I don’t have the Lyon Park schedules yet, but FoPa will start on Monday, September 8th and go for four weeks (double-headers).  The times will be similar to the current ones–games will start at 6:30PM and 7:30PM or 8:30PM and 9:30PM.  I’d imagine the Lyon Park schedule is similar in terms of start date and times (as both are ASA leagues, and based on our experience).  Let me know what you wanna do…the roster is filling up already, oh yes!  Also, Squidfunds from Squidvia Night are gone, so I’ll need that Squidcash from y’allz–I suspect it’ll be about $25/night but can get more on that soon.  First notification, first roster’d!  Also, if’n ye wanna rock a new uniform shirt, lemme know about that too (generally $15).  Is there enough interest for another run of hoodies?  Et cetera.  I’ll probably Squidspam out about all of this soon, so brace yerself.

07/14/08: Squid power in full effect, with a smattering of Tuesday-regular subs.  Still wailed on whatever jokers we were up against (Big Hump) in spite of some nasty-bad calls from that umpire.  Squidballs to CHUNSLIN and BEASTOR-X by popular demand; the latter had a homerun or two and the former a handful of triples.

07/15/08: Jell-O shots, Squidbong, Nacho Cheese sunflower seeds, and subs-a-plenty.  Started with 3 dudes and ended up with seven or eight through various channels, hah.  Fighting Hellfish, Flying Hellfish, whatever they were called–they had nothing on the Green & Gold.  E-Z.  The final was closer and lower-scoring than we usually like to call it, but a score of 17-11 was enough to edge those clowns out once and for all.  Props to JANTERNET for one sock of each Squidcolor, to Kevin Stroup for the mega-hustle he brought, and to BEASTOR-X for continuance of his home run streak, but the Squidball went to OBLIVIA since basically every play was at second base (I don’t think we threw out a single runner at first all game long…?), for ending the last inning quickly with a few hot catches, and of course for making the Jell-O shots, BANG!  Nice work to KRUKKER for providing the new sunflower seeds as well, and to all Squids for putting up with some pretty specious calls all week long.  Post-victory at Black Thorn included pizzar, distribution of SQUID GIFTS, meetin’ up with SWITCHBLADE and STRYKER, and watching the useless, over-long MLB ASG, hyerk!
